Mimi & Shae

Shaelyn is really into bling and her grandma "Mimi" was kind enough to sport some for her to check out. She was particularly into her necklace as you can see by the pic. Shae is also still sporting the bald spot but it is slowly filling back in now that she is rolling over onto her belly more and more. But I must say, as the biased mom that I am, she can even make bald look beautiful!! Hopefully Mimi has her computer up and running now so she can enjoy these pics when she gets hooked up!! :)

First trip to Berkley

Friday night Shaelyn & I took a trip back to my old stomping grounds, Berkley, to visit Uncle Timmy & Aunt Kellyann. Even though we've lived in Oxford now for about 4 years, Berkley still feels like home when I'm driving down Kenmore. Sorry that the video clips are a little on the dark side but I think you'll still be able to see that she is having a ball. So when is the next Berkley cookout Uncle Timmy?? :)

"Little" Lady in Red

We were playing on the floor today and Shae is rolling over like a champ now...no more tears!! She has mastered the art of getting her arm unstuck so it is no longer traumatic to be rolled over onto her belly. YIPPEE!!

I am totally digging this weather. What an awesome night for a Tigers' game!! Too bad we're watching from our house and not at the game...if we were there who knows we might just have had another no-hitter game...just like the one Shae attended "in-utero" (Justin Verlander's no-hitter game)!!

Spring is in the air

Well, I think it is safe to say that spring is here to stay. Halleluiah!! It has been a L-O-N-G winter. Finally we can pull out the short sleeves and her little Polo dress, that I've been dying to see her in (thank you Joe & Holly)!! She seems to like it too judging from the huge smile (in the upper corner pic)!! :)

Mommy's Birthday

Thank "yunz" all for the birthday greetings today!! I had a fantastic birthday. The ultimate girl day...shopping, dressing up and eating out!! Shae is an excellent shopper and she took a power snooze while mommy shopped. Thank you Shae for entertaining G&P McCaffrey while mommy & daddy had a date. :)

Fun with food...

The first bite of prunes went down a little rough and she gave me a look like "mommy you tricked me" but then it was all good. It was fun for me too as you can see. I think we'll put daddy on the clean up crew. ;)

Birthday Review

Grandpa got to have TWO birthday celebrations...one in Royal Oak and one in Oxford. Here are a couple pics from Kalloway's birthday bonanza tonight. Too bad the Red Wings couldn't pull off the win tonight to make the night complete. Right Ed??

Well at least that's what I thought I heard?!! She is usually so shy when I pull out the camera that I can never catch her babbling. So I got down on the ground commando style and finally caught a little snippet. :)

Baptism videos

Auntie Cherise put in a lot of hard work to compile these videos on You Tube for your viewing pleasure. Great job Cherise it turned out really well and I liked the credits at the end...very professional. Firsts...

We had a gorgeous day today FINALLY and took Shae out for her first stroller walk through the neighborhood. Mommy, of course, was going crazy with the camera...again. :)

Shae had another first today...I was getting her bath ready and had her in her crib and gave her one of her rattle socks to play with and she flung it over her head so she ROLLED OVER to get it. Then she screamed bloody murder cuz she was stuck there (like a turtle on his back) with her arms & legs kicking out 'cuz she was unable to roll back over. It was adorable...except for the screaming part. ;)

I took a boatload of pics today so I'm posting a couple of my faves. Aunt J.J., the turquoise sweatshirt is the one you bought for her and it fits her already!! The pants were still a little big though so she sported some jeans instead. A look that I'm sure you can appreciate. :)

Baptism Day

God was definitely smiling down on our family today as he blessed us with a beautiful sunny day, a healthy little girl and surrounded us with our loving family. Thank you Cherise for videotaping the whole baptism. I know that the Pittsburghers will all be happy to view the footage, especially the "G.G.s". We will set up a link to the video at a later date. For now I have a few snapshots of the memorable day.

First cold

Well, there are a lot of "firsts" that I have been excited to see but this was definitely not one of them. Shaelyn got her first cold on Tuesday and I don't know who was more miserable. She was really a trouper though and was still her usual pleasant self...loads of smiles.

Since she seemed to be feeling a little bit better today we celebrated with a little photo shoot. Thanks Julie for the new duds! :)

Happy happy joy joy

Our best purchase to date...the activity center. Uncle Timmy overheard her squealing on the phone and couldn't believe how her voice projects while she is playing. It must be the daddy in her. :)

Girls Day Out

Shae and I met up with the girls for a little Bocce and lunch at the local Palazzio di Bocce yesterday. It was too much excitement for one day and she cashed out. Here are a few pics from her big outing...
